AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the highest level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020 with Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she was able to graduate early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her debut as a professional and was a part of the team's success in winning the league title. Morgan was 22 years old at the time and was the youngest player on the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. She scored the winning goal against Canada in the 123rd minute of the semi-final match of the 2012 London Olympics. She finished 2012 with 28 goalsand 21 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score 20 and 20 goals. She was the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. The following year, she was named U.S. Soccer Female Athlete Of The Year and was a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in helping the United States win their titles in both the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, which saw her named to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
