Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. Parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's talents for performing were recognized at an early age. In 1992, she went to her very first audition. The audition was for a part of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mom enrolled her at an agency prior to when turning 13 years old. She was then featured in TV commercials and newspaper ads. Along with having private lessons, she began her acting career in the year 2000. Bell played an uncredited character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in drama and music club. Bell was chosen to play the lead role of Dorothy in her high school's production of The Wizard of Oz. After graduating, Bell made the move in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she learned about musical theatre. Bell left the university in 2001, and began taking on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credits in Pootie Tang in 2001. Her scene, however it was cut and her only appearance is in the end credits. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell made an appearance as a character in her first Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
