Formerly a top fashion model, almost 5'10'' tall. Carey was an a fan favorite of top American designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father is a distinguished geologist who was voted Scientist of the Year back in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. In the course of his work, Carey was raised all over the world. Modeling began part time during her time at the University of Colorado and caught the attention of a representative from the Ford model Agency in New York. Following her move to France in the summer of 1999, where she lived at Paris, Bordeaux and New York, she decided to return to New York and continue her studies. Soon, Vogue, Glamour and other magazines were featured on their cover. While she was modeling, she was a full time student who was pursuing a degree in literary studies at New York University. After a while she began to develop an desire to act. She studied at Neighborhood Playhouse New York. Her part was a minor one of Club Paradise with Robin Williams In 1986. In her spare time she likes to ski or windsurfing. She also enjoys climbing mountains as well as whitewater rafting.
