Antonia Lofaso

Antonia Lofaso's cuisine is an invitation to explore the depths of her cooking. Her food comes from her curiosity about the culture that is Los Angeles, which was ignited by a trip in Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. The belief that cavatelli and carnitas could coexist effortlessly on a menu conveys a sensibility which is constantly evolving. However, what is consistent throughout her menu is an unifying view of the future while achingly recollecting the past. Scopa Italian Roots opened its doors in 2013 and was immediately very well received. Lofaso has received praise for her unique interpretation of Italian cuisine. The restaurant serves delicious and consistent dishes at Scopa which is a favorite of the neighborhood. Its patrons describe it as authentic and satisfying. Lofaso was a student of legendary chefs and absorbed their sophisticated techniques but she was not afraid of taking risks that were too high in order to follow her intuition. She soon rose to the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went on to work closely with famous chefs in a variety of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso along with Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso had found home in the Black Market. The collaboration could provide creativity and freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market does not have a single direction, which is the reason why it was created. It would start with potato chips flavored with dill, Shishito peppers, and follow up with Korean wings. This book also reveals about her struggles as a mother of Xea and pursuing her studies in the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso says that the passion behind all of her accomplishments is rooted in cooking and it's in this way that she keeps her an eye on the pulse of. With her Chefletics brand, she is revolutionizing the aesthetics of the industry, by creating clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as function. Lofaso is committed to being true to yourself and your goals. To achieve this, she's launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new company will offer a tailored experience to clients.
