Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actor, singer as well as a former model. She was the main female vocalist for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. The 1980s saw the singer-actress Prince named Apollonia became just one of the many female performers that gained by their connection with the prince. She was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her professional career started as a model and actress towards the end of the 1970s and included an appearance on the television show CHiPS. She was the lead female in Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at when he was changing his name). In the same year, she replaced Vanity as part of the group Vanity 6 and performed with their brand name Apollonia 6 in the film. But the R&B/dance album that was pretty pedestrian and failed to leave a lasting impression on people who were buying music at that period, was quickly wiped out.
